PURPOSE: Main Street has commissioned an independent survey on church communications. The objective is to collect the first national data on how church communications departments are organized, staffed, and tasked. All participants in the survey who provide an email address will receive a copy of the executive summary at no charge.
The results will be presented at MinistryCOM in Houston on September 16, 2005. Are you going to be there? I am; presenting two workshops:
- “Are You Talkin’ to Me?” Best practices for communications that connect and
- "Are We All on the Same Page Here?" Building a cohesive communications strategy
WHO SHOULD COMPLETE THE SURVEY: The survey is limited to churches in the USA who conduct regular worship services. Non-profits and para-church ministries should not participate in this survey. This survey should be answered by the church director of communications, or the person most directly responsible for communications in the congregation. Only one survey response per congregation please. So, is this you? If so, I encourage you to take two minutes to complete the survey. If this isn't you, pass the link on to the right person.
MULTI-PART SURVEY: This is the first of a multi-part survey. Providing your phone number at the end of the survey is optional, but it will allow for cross-tabulation against future survey parts. You are under no obligation to complete future surveys.
DEADLINE: Surveys must be completed by Monday, August 29, 2005 to be included in the research.
PRIVACY STATEMENT: Data collected during this survey will not be sold, rented or disclosed to any outside parties.
