It’s a complicated concept. How does communication arts work with creative arts? Where does digital media come into the conversation? The answer is somewhere between two extremes; strict, inflexible systems are not any more helpful in the long run than the chaos of no system at all.
Shrink the Church just posted a free resource to help you get your head around the concept of who should be talking to who, when it makes sense to have those conversations, what deliverables hit at what interval and more. What a great tool to use to brainstorm with your team to customize your own framework.
Love it.
Driving by to say Hi! You do a great job of sorting thru all the web "clutter" & finding lil nuggets-o-gold.

Another great tool to check out would be google wave. I just began using it this week with my arts team here at Hope Summit and I think it has tons of potential. They've opened it up so anyone can use the tool - http://wave.google.com

Great post Kem. My wife is a designer and serves as our church's layout artist for many pieces of media.
Not only will this be helpful for churches, but for my marriage too....
She'll appreciate this A LOT.
