- This isn't a recent article...I'm behind, I know. It's still good enough to post about, even if I'm tardy.
- Parental guidance required...there is some off-color language in the article. If that's a barrier for you and causes "issues", then don't click the link.
- If you click the link anyway, don't send me an email or leave a comment. A pious rant will be lame... the language is not what the article is about.
- The link: Getting IT bullies to behave.
- I'm glad we don't have any of these in our IT group. Jason, Ed & Kyle have high emotional IQs, don't hide behind technology and put people first. I heart that about them.
- If you're not in IT...don't think this can't be you. Do some soul searching. We all are vulnerable.
I am full fledged geek with 12 years in IT. I suppose I am like any other geek. The only difference is that I am blessed with an abundance of social skills.
I have spent my 12 years with my co-workers who love me and had no problems approaching me. I have spent my 12 years being the anti-asshole IT guy.
After getting fired for the best company I have ever worked for, I finally realized that with all my social skills wasn't going to give me job stability in an industry that never had it. I soon realized I was wasting my true talents in IT. It is time to get out of IT for good.
I am so proud not to be working as a Linux SysAdmin or Windows Administrator.

The article is so short... and doesn't give any tips to get those bullies to behave other than firing or signing a be-nice contract. Perhaps I'll have to read the book to get the juicy tips.
