In a very cool six degrees of separation twist (via Twitter, not Kevin Bacon) I got the chance to spend some time with Daley Hake a couple of weeks ago. He was between his music and other creative gigs and made some time to meet me & the fam at the GCC campus for some photos.
It would be easy for this guy to be so full of himself. He's looks like a rock star, he's talented beyond belief and he knows people. But, he is so not full of himself and that's what left an impression with me. Daley is a good soul. He is down to earth, genuinely cares about others and is not impressed by celebrity and sub-cultures. He flattens out any social chart or age group and just lives life using his gifts to love others and make a living in the process. He's one of a kind.
Daley's going to be moving a friend across country this summer and will rolling through Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Nashville, Atlanta, Dallas and Phoenix. If you're close to any of those stops, don't miss the opportunity to book some time w/ him (get some professional photos…buy him a cup of coffee…lend a couch, etc.) Julie is scheduling his bookings. If you want to make it happen, contact her at [email protected].
I'm indebted to Mandy for getting Daley up to Granger from Indy and sharing the love. That's how she rolls. Without her, there would have been no "Kem & family meets Daley Hake in awesome photo shoot".

Kem, these photos are SO COOL. I dare say that they have reached the level of SOFA KING COOL. (At least that's what the cool kids are telling me that is the next level of cool.)
What a beautiful family. I love them.
Jealousy rages within me.

They turned out so great!
He really is one of the coolest people I think I'll ever meet.
I offered my house again when he comes through, so if anyone you know in the area wants pics...he'll come!
