If you’ve ever said (or heard someone say) something to the effect of “social media is a fad” or “you can’t do church online” … hit play & chew on these stats. (If you’re in a cubicle farm, watch on mute. It won’t dilute the usefulness of this AT ALL.)
And, with that…these parting words.
“We used to spend our time trying to get people to come to church.
Now, we’ve got to find ways to take church to them.” Craig Groeschel
“God is not afraid of the cloud. He can move through the internet,
a fish net or a New Jersey Net if He wants." Mark Meyer
With more questions than answers, we’re falling forward. GRANGER’S ONLINE CAMPUS HAS LAUNCHED!! I couldn’t be more excited about the future. This is crazy!
Fist bumps & virtual hugs to the teams at Aspire! One, Lifechurch.tv and Liquid Church for helping us get here. The enormous encouragement and support you’ve given us has modeled community in this revolution and the world will be is different because of you.
That was an awesome post...thanks for sharing!

I tend to shy away from most social media (other than blogs) but it seems that I may go the way of the dinosaur if I don't just bite the bullet and dive in.

Congrats on the launch Kem. Brilliant UI. Whoever put that together. Serious pat on back - free lattes for a week.
Love seeing the concept of seeing ppl online rather than just a chat room environment. Well done!

As well, this week we have seen a kindergarten get built in one day over at stuffchristianslike.com a family visit with their compassion child at ragamuffinsoul.com and are starting to see people get connected all over the web on all kinds of blogs.
Ya, I would say it is not a fad.

And I still cant convince a lot of my friends to get a website for their church.....70% of our visitors, and we have experienced 30% growth in the last six months, have come directly through the web.
Furthermore, many of them have been intergrated through Facebook.

Crazy stats...great video. I tend to shy away from most social media (other than blogs) but it seems that I may go the way of the dinosaur if I don't just bite the bullet and dive in. Thanks for the info...I'm going to do my best to fall forward as well :)
